Riad Loom was born out of a longing for places that are never forgotten. Out of a desire to return to the scent of Moroccan medinas, the silence of riads hidden behind ornate gates, conversations over mint tea, the view of the majestic Atlas Mountains, and the colors of the souks, where time flows differently.

We are travelers who one day decided to capture a piece of our journeys and bring it home to share with others.

It was in Morocco that we fell in love with rugs, which are more than just a piece of fabric. They are a map of someone's history.

Why the name Riad Loom?

Riad Loom is a name that combines two meanings. "Riad" signifies a traditional Moroccan house with an internal courtyard: a space of peace, privacy, and harmony. "Loom" refers to the weaving loom, evoking craftsmanship, creation, and attention to detail. Together, they create a name that reflects the blend of tradition, handicraft, and a modern approach to design.

Where do our Moroccan rugs come from?

Every Moroccan rug in our collection is hand-woven by Berber weavers who pass down their knowledge and patterns from generation to generation. The geometric motifs, irregularities, and richness of textures are not coincidental. It is a language used for centuries to tell stories of love, protection, memory, and belonging.

We do not buy rugs in bulk. We choose them personally from markets and small workshops, from artisans whose work deserves attention and respect.

Our store is our passion. We believe that quality and authenticity matter in design, which is why we provide only what we ourselves would vouch for.
